Preparation
- Bring the water to a simmer. Pour over the green tea placed in a teapot and let infuse for about twenty minutes. Filter and pour into a saucepan with the honey, then heat.
- Peel the pears, leaving them whole. Remove the peduncle by hollowing out the base, so as to remove a cone. Dip them in the simmering tea and cook them for about 20 minutes, until the tip of a knife is easily inserted.
- Remove the pears from the syrup, reduce it further for 15 minutes. Serve the pears on plates, top with syrup and enjoy chilled.
