Anti-constipation yoga
Practiced every day when you wake up, the belly barrage (nauli posture) fights against chronic constipation.
Upright, legs slightly bent and one more apart than the width of the pelvis, leaning forward, hands resting on the knees.
After inspiring, we empty our lungs, we block our breathing then we go in and we take out the belly several times in a row. When we have no more air, we get up slowly by unrolling the entire spine.
To repeat 3 times, each time putting a mental intention on the movement “I release my belly, I release my belly”. At the end of the sequence, we thank ourselves for having taken this time for ourselves and we visualize that we have put our transit in motion for the day.
The phyto answer
Laxative plants such as aloe, senna, rhubarb or buckthorn should be avoided. The only phytotherapy specialty that can be used daily without risk, in addition to hygienic-dietetic measures: psyllium, also known as ispaghul.
In contact with water, the seeds of this plant form a gel in the stomach which increases the volume of the food bolus and thus facilitates its expulsion in the event of a somewhat lazy colon. This so-called ballast laxative is particularly useful when dietary fiber is poorly tolerated. Psyllium is found in pharmacies and health food stores, in the form of seeds or capsules. It is recommended to take 20 g in the evening, drinking plenty of water to optimize its action.
The homeo prescription
- When diarrhea and constipation alternate, with morning stools followed by a feeling of fatigue: Podophyllum 5 CH, 3 to 5 granules, before each meal.
- In the event of a sedentary profession : Nux Vomica 5 CH, 2 granules, 3 times a day. Do not hesitate to increase the dilution up to 15 CH.
- If the stool is dry : Alumina 5 CH, 2 granules, before each meal.
- If constipation is accompanied by circulatory disorders, hemorrhoids, even cystitis: Sepia 9 CH, 2 granules, before each meal.
- If the transit goes wrong while traveling : Platina 5 CH, 2 granules, before each meal.
- When you have trouble expressing your emotions : Staphysagria 9 CH, 2 granules, before each meal.
A special transit massage oil
How to prepare it?
In an amber glass bottle, pour 25 drops of EO of tarragon, 25 drops of EO of ginger and 8 ml of fluid vegetable oil (sesame, sunflower, hazelnut). Shake gently to mix well.
How to use it ?
With 10 to 15 drops of this mixture, massage the lower abdomen in a circular massage for 3 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day, for 2 to 3 days. In the event of chronic constipation, this treatment can be used over a longer period, at the rate of 2 applications per day, 5 days out of 7, until improvement.
Note that the essential oil of tarragon is contraindicated in cases of immunosuppressed ground, degenerative pathology type Alzheimer’s disease and of great nervous fragility. The application of this cocktail of essential oils is also contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
