Sjoelen – a name from Frisian – is an official sport in which real world championships are held. The General Dutch Sjoelbond is even affiliated with NOC*NSF – although we do not see the sport becoming Olympic yet. If you don’t have a shuffleboard at home, but still want to slide some slices over the smooth wood every now and then, you can also do that digitally, for example with the aptly named Shuffleboard app. Just like the real game, this variant naturally requires some practice and getting used to the game, but after that you will score very well. Small commercials make the app free.
