Most game concepts were already conceived when the 1990s were yet to begin. It actually took until the advent of mobile devices before really new ideas started to circulate. One of these was Agar.io, which we wrote about in Voor Nop 2015/23. In this you had to grow your circle by eating smaller circles and avoiding bigger ones. We find a more complex variant on that theme in Paper.io 2. In this you start with a circle and you mold a piece to it with the aim of occupying as much of the playing field as possible. But… opponents try the same!
