The risk you run with any program is that one day it will no longer be supported and you will eventually be forced to switch to an alternative. That happened to Voor Nop recently with his favorite mail program and the replacement was Mozilla Thunderbird. The nice thing about that product is that you can import old mail, address books and settings from many sources, if necessary via an old version of Thunderbird that you can easily upgrade afterwards. Another big advantage is that the program can be expanded with add-ons and you can therefore completely customize it.
