If you open a folder with pictures or videos in Windows Explorer, you can choose a view with thumbnails so that the file can be recognized quickly. For these types of file types, Windows 10 even chooses this view as the default. Unfortunately, some file types are not recognized and in older Windows versions the process sometimes even goes awry and the thumbnails are gone. The solution can be found in Media Preview. This program is very easy to use. Once installed, you specify which file types it should handle and, voila, there are your thumbnails.
