In Voor Nop 2015/18 we described Krita as ‘The ultimate free drawing, painting and photo editing program’. We were talking about a 2 series version at the time. Version 5 of this beauty was recently released, and it will be clear that this product has only gotten better in those seven years. Thanks to a huge number of brushes and tools, Krita can compete effortlessly with professional drawing and animation software (yes, Krita has no problem with moving images too). However, if you do not have a drawing talent, you can also use Krita as a very high-quality photo editor with many hundreds of filters.
