If you want to create a photo mosaic, you can choose from all kinds of (free) programs. One of which is iMosaic. When you keep all your photos in one folder, iMosaic can create one database of thumbnails from them – a time consuming task. However, it is also possible to create multiple databases based on different folders or even individually chosen images. Once that’s done, you can choose a source image and put the program to work. Making the mosaic then goes fairly smoothly. Of course, iMosaic offers full control over the end result in advance.
