We are all used to photo editors in which we can perform all kinds of operations via icons and menus. Although that proves difficult enough for many PC users, ImageMagic even further to make it difficult for users. Of course, ‘making it difficult’ is not the aim of the product. The goal is raw power and versatility, and you miss that in the limitation that icons impose on you. ImageMagick works with scripts; short programs in which you indicate what you want to do with one or more photos. Its use requires study but extensive documentation exists.
