Over the years, Windows has gotten better at displaying thumbnails of media files, but there’s still plenty to be desired. Windows does not know every type of video file and it is also difficult to manage with covers in audio files. Fortunately, there is the extensively adjustable Icaros. This program uses FFmpeg to generate thumbnails for a large number of files within Explorer. You can do this while browsing folders, but if you want more speed, it is also possible to have Icaros create a cache of the contents of the folders in which you store your media.
Icaros you can here to download.
