Windows offers excellent capabilities for encrypting files or folders that you don’t want to fall into the wrong hands. If you don’t find that method robust enough, there are a number of third-party programs that provide encryption. Although still safe for now, there is a fear that common encryption methods will eventually not withstand the power of so-called quantum computers. However, there is one absolutely unbreakable method: one time pad encryption. You can find this in the free FinalCrypt. It doesn’t offer any tricks like system integration, but it does encrypt extremely well.
