Windows Explorer shows an overview of hard disks with a bar for each that indicates what percentage of them are in use. However, that’s where disk usage reporting pretty much ends. That’s why there are plenty of products that try to provide more insight into this, and one of the more professional is DiskSavvy. This program is lightning fast, also works for network drives, for example, and offers clear graphical overviews and an unprecedented number of different reports. Unfortunately, the free version only handles 100,000 files per job, but if you take that into account, this is a real winner.
