While it is possible with Windows to copy files to a zipped folder, we generally need more functionality. For example, we want to be able to work not only with zip files, but also with the rar format, which is ubiquitous in download circles. We also want to be able to protect archives with a password if necessary, and if it concerns a lot of data, we also want to be able to split them.
