Our privacy is increasingly under attack. Many people don’t seem to notice this, but those who find it an undesirable development would like a browser that transmits as little information as possible. The Avast Secure Browser – a tip from one of our Computer Idea readers – promises to be ‘private, fast and secure’. It is fast for sure and in terms of privacy and security, we see all kinds of reassuring settings in the Security Center, such as protection against phishing and tracking. However, even this excellent browser is not completely private, because all kinds of system information keeps us identifiable.
