March 15, 2010 – For a 13e consecutive year, Expo Manger Santé et Vivre Vert will be held in Montreal and Quebec City, to promote organic food and overall health1. This year, the focus will be on the importance of “eating ethically”. This is also why we will be promoting the “Meatless Monday” movement.
Indeed, nutritionist Anne-Marie Roy – who is also spokesperson for the event – will give a conference entitled “Meatless Mondays: why and how”.
“We want to officially launch this movement in Quebec,” says nutritionist Anne-Marie Roy. We will see how to replace meat meals every Monday with plant-based dishes – including legumes, nuts and seeds. It is a gesture accessible to every citizen and significant for the survival of life on earth. “
In addition, cooking demonstrations and various conferences will be offered, including those of actor Joël Legendre, nutritionist Isabelle Huot, former hockey player turned vegan Georges Laraque and many others.
