February 14, 2011 – When you were a kid, how often did your mom or dad cook dinners for the family? This is one of the questions posed in February by the “Everyone at the table” project, which continues its vast survey each month on the eating behaviors of Quebec families.
“Everyone at the table” asks new questions every month on its website to all those who are willing to share their experiences and opinions. The answers will be used for a large research project led by nutritionists from Extenso, from the University of Montreal.

January poll results
In the January survey, respondents assessed their family’s eating habits and compared them to those of Quebec families. Nearly 60% felt that the diet of all Quebecers was rather average and that several improvements could be made. On the other hand, respondents were much more positive about their own eating habits: 63% gave their eating habits a score of 8 or 9 out of 10.
“These results are very interesting. Most people think they are better than their neighbors. Still, we’re all someone’s neighbor, aren’t we? “, Comments nutritionist Nathalie Jobin, project manager at” Everyone at the table “.
