The Lyon Époqu’Auto Show, canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, will return on November 5, 6 and 7. Schedules, showcases in the spotlight, planned activities, prices … L’argus gives you all the information you need to know about the event dedicated to vintage vehicles.
Epoqu’Auto, which celebrates old vehicles, was maintained and then finally canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. In 2021, the Show is making a comeback and will take place from November 5 to 7 in Lyon. For his 42e edition, the event will resume the program of the 2020 edition, with brands like Simca or Bentley in the spotlight.
See you from November 5 in Lyon
At the heart of the halls of the Eurexpo Lyon-Chassieu exhibition center, the exhibition will be held over more than 70,000 m2, with more than 7,000 m2 of thematic platters. Simca, who will celebrate the birthdays of his Aronde and 1000 (respectively 70 and 60 years), will also present many models from the brand and its derivatives such as Matra or Talbot. This is how two prototypes will be on display: a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus driven by Guy Fréquelin (known as Le Grizzly) in 1979 and a prototype Simca Julien tray.
The other major exhibition will be that of tricycles cars. These little-known three-wheeled pre-war cars will be showcased in original scenographies: reconstruction of an old garage or barn, racing simulator … At the entrance to the Salon, under the dome, visitors will also be able to admire the reconstruction of Henri’s garage. Malartre, a collector who founded an automobile museum in the castle of Rochetaillée-sur-Saône, in 1960.

Many activities planned
Other events are expected, such as the exhibition of the Youngtimers plateau, dedicated this year to sports breaks, or the plateau of the Berliet Foundation, which pays tribute to municipal vehicles. The relocation of the Parisian photography studio Harcourt is one of the novelties. For the first time at Epoqu’Auto, it will offer visitors the opportunity to become the stars for a day by having their makeup done and then photographed by professionals. Automobile photos and portraits will also be exhibited at the Show.

Prices
Tickets already taken in 2020 remain valid for this 2021 edition. If you do not have any yet, two solutions are available to you:
- a full price ticket taken at the Show ticket office (with the risk of waiting) to 15 €;
- a ticket taken from the online ticket office, with reductions until November 5: € 14 for the full price or € 11 for students and young people aged 12 to 18, as well as for people with a disability card or those accompanying visitors in wheelchairs (who , they have a free entry).

Parking is free for bikers and visitors coming to the Show with a vintage vehicle over 30 years old (parking lot P4).
