Put the Predator-V8 in your car
If there’s anything more fun than a car with a V8, it’s a car with a V8 that shouldn’t have a V8 in it. That is why the LS swap is very popular in America. The LS-V8 from General Motors is relatively cheap, it is easy to get power from it and it is still quite reliable. If you prefer to do something different, there is another nice option from Ford. You can now order the engine from the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 separately. It is the most powerful engine Ford has ever built. They nicknamed the bike ‘Predator’, which means predator.
On the 5.2-liter V8 is an Eaton supercharger to get the power to 760 hp and 847 Nm. The block is made of aluminum plus there are forged connecting rods and a forged crankshaft. The exhaust manifolds, alternator, air conditioning pump and all belts are with the engine. Incidentally, you can get a different size pulley for the supercharger from a tuner for reasonable prices, so you can easily increase the power.
The price of the engine from the Mustang GT500
The engine costs $25,995 on the Ford Performance website in America. That equates to approximately 23,000 euros. Keep in mind that there are some shipping costs and customs clearance costs on top if you would like to bring the motorcycle to the Netherlands. And then you still have to install everything and make it work with an ECU. If it’s all less intense, they have the 5.0-liter V8 from the normal Mustang for a fifth of the price.
