Saviel France is recalling Jean Rozé veal cutlets, sold at Intermarché and contaminated with the E.coli bacteria.
The bacterium E. coli is again talking about it. This time, it is batches of fresh minced veal cutlets Jean Rozé sold at Intermarché which were contaminated by the bacterium E. coli. The Saviel France company asks buyers not to consume them and to bring them back to the place of purchase.
A control revealed the presence of Escherichia coli in ground veal sold in trays of 2 times 100 g, bearing the lot number A72660007, marketed between September 26 and 29, 2017.
1000 trays concerned
The recall concerns 382 trays of two cutlets of minced meat each. A total of 1,016 trays had been distributed in 128 Intermarché outlets, but 634 boxes have already been collected.
This bacteria can cause, in the week following the consumption of contaminated products, hemorrhagic diarrhea, abdominal pain and vomiting, with or without fever. These symptoms can be followed by severe kidney complications, mainly in children.
“People who have consumed the products mentioned above and who present this type of symptoms are invited to consult their doctor without delay, notifying him of this consumption as well as the place and date of purchase”, specifies a press release from the ‘business.
Leather at heart
To prevent contamination, the company recalls that it is necessary to cook minced meats and products made from minced steaks “to the core (that is to say the disappearance of the pink color)”.
