Health protocol reinforced in high schools
The Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, announced that the health protocol would be strengthened in high schools, after the demands of many French high school students. The courses will be more remote, nevertheless retaining 50% of the face-to-face courses. As in June 2020, the baccalaureate exams will be replaced by continuous assessment.
Italy: implementation of a curfew
A curfew will come into force this Friday, November 6 throughout Italy. Valid until December 3, it will start at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. Shopping centers and museums are closed. The high school students also go into distancing.
Ephad: 242 residents infected with Covid in Pays de la Loire
In Pays de la Loire, there are currently 242 nursing home residents who have been infected with Covid-19 in 20 different establishments. “The main sources of coronavirus contamination are today in nursing homes” indicates the director of the regional health agency in the region, where 25% of retirement homes are affected by at least one case.
Christmas parties under confinement?
Professor Xavier Lescure, infectious disease specialist at Bichat hospital in Paris, indicated that the French would probably be confined for the Christmas holidays: “There was a real delay in lighting. There was either denial or a desire to go after health markers to save the economy, which is understandable. The problem is that today, we have reached such a circulation of the virus that to slow it down, it will probably take weeks or even months. I believe that this year, Christmas is folded ”.
