Dacia Sandero Prize (2022). No more city cars for less than €10,000

The starting price of the Dacia Sandero increases by €500.

The starting price of the Dacia Sandero will cross the more than symbolic bar of €10,000 to settle at €10,490. The entire range of the versatile city car will undergo a price increase, ranging from 300 to 500 € depending on the engine, excluding Stepway.

When the new Sandero was launched at the end of 2020, Dacia took care to limit the increase in the starting price of its versatile city car to €400, making it accessible from €8,690. But during 2021 the low-selling basic Access version disappeared from the catalog, bringing the minimum price of the model to €9,890, then to €9,990 following price increases for the entire range. In a few days, the Sandero will be over for less than €10,000. The Romanian brand’s access model will ask for a minimum of €10,490 from 1^er March 2022.

From 300 to 500 € increase for the Sandero

Between the shortage of semiconductors and the Renault group’s search for margins, the Dacia Sandero is therefore preparing to undergo its fifth price increase since its launch. More specifically, it is the SCe 65 engine which will undergo an increase of €500. The price of the Sandero Essentiel and Confort thus motorized will therefore be affected accordingly. The TCe 90 block will also be affected by an increase, but of 300 €, whatever the transmission and finish. Even the Eco-G 100 petrol-LPG bi-fuel engine will suffer from an increase of €300.

According to the information we currently have, these upgrades should only concern the standard Sandero and not its elevated Stepway variant, which starts at €13,690 with the TCe 90 engine with manual gearbox. The Dacia Sandero still escapes the ecological malus, except in TCe 90 CVT (150 € minimum).

Dacia Sandero Stepway Suburban — For now, the Sandero Stepway has been spared this new price increase.
