Vaccination against the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus began in France in December 2020. The vaccine against Covid-19 developed by Pfizer-Biontech (called Comirnaty®) will first be administered to the most vulnerable people (elderly people in nursing homes, nursing staff, etc.) then offered to the entire French population – however, it will not be compulsory!
Yes, but here it is: the mistrust of the French vis-à-vis the vaccine against Covid-19 continues to grow. Thus, a survey carried out by the BVA institute in December 2020 showed that only 44% of French people planned to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection. Out of 32 countries studied, France came in 30th position, ahead of Serbia where 38% of the population is in favor of the vaccine …
The goal: to vaccinate 27 million French people before the summer against Covid-19
In detail, women seem more suspicious than men of the coronavirus vaccine. Young people also seem reluctant to be vaccinated: 28% of French people under 25 against 67% of over 65s are considering injecting.
Behind this mistrust, in addition to the recent health scandals (Levothyrox, Mediator …) and the loss of confidence in political figures (only 35% of French people believe that the government is correctly managing the coronavirus epidemic, according to the ‘institute BVA), there are fake news that flourish on social networks.
The vaccine against Covid-19 would thus be responsible for serious and frequent side effects, its composition would be mysterious, it would have been completed in haste for financial reasons …
It is recalled that France hopes to vaccinate 1 million people by the end of January 2021, and 27 million by the beginning of summer 2021.
