Aube, Nièvre and Rhône confined for 4 weeks

Henceforth, there are therefore 19 departments placed under these measures of ” reinforced braking “. Olivier Véran explained that after consultation with elected officials and prefects, “ it appeared essential to amplify the protective measures For these three departments. And for good reason, the incidence rate of the Rhône rose to 383 per 100,000 inhabitants, 329 for the Nièvre and 445 for the Aube.
As of this Friday March 26, 2021, the inhabitants of these three departments will be able to move only within a radius of 10 kilometers (except imperative reasons) and will have to respect the national curfew which remains in force on the whole territory from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. In these areas, non-essential businesses will be closed, inter-regional travel is prohibited, as is gatherings of more than 6 people on public roads. In this regard, the Minister of Health justified this measure by explaining: ” Quite simply because even if being outside weakens the risk, if you find yourself at 15 as on the docks, for example, sharing a moment of conviviality, you will inevitably, at a given moment, lower your guard, reduce the distances. , lower the mask and why not even, moreover, toast. In short, you will in fact increase the risk of infecting yourself. “.
About twenty departments placed under enhanced surveillance
Due to a worrying increase in hospitalizations and an increase in contamination, the Minister of Health also announced that around 20 departments are now placed under reinforced surveillance. Indeed, the situation has deteriorated in Ain, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Ardennes, Indre-et-Loir, Isère, Jura, Loire, Lozère, Loir- et-Cher, Marne, Meuse, Orne, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Vaucluse and Yonne.
According to the Minister of Health, who reports a rejuvenation of patients admitted to intensive care, hospital pressure will continue to increase in the coming days. For now, the number of patients with Covid-19 in intensive care has reached 4,709 individuals on Thursday, March 25, 2021, almost the record reached during the second wave last November (4,903 patients in intensive care as of November 16, 2020 ).
