No ladies, we are wrong to think that men are (only) obsessed with our feminine attributes, breasts and generous buttocks. A study from the University of Cambridge, Great Britain, drops a cliché. To better push an open door: the woman who will share their life must above all be intelligent, regardless of the size of her bra. According to David Bainbridge, professor of biology and author of the study, men make this choice to ensure that their partner will make a responsible mother. An intelligent woman is more attractive because it gives the impression to men that she “will be more able to take care of children” but also “that her own parents were intelligent, and therefore that she was well brought up”, he explains to the Daily Mail.
Men, attracted to symmetry
According to the researcher, men are not attracted to generous breasts because they are more likely to be asymmetrical. “The size of the breast does not matter. Large breasts tend to be asymmetrical. Men are more attracted to symmetry,” the scientist sums up to the Daily Mail.
The researcher pushes his reasoning further by tackling the fashion for long legs, touted by magazines. Without fear of taking shortcuts, he ensures that men are not more attracted to women with long legs. They prefer straight and “regular” legs. “Men don’t want long legs.
