Some people have their iPhone pretty much glued to their hand. Playing games is also very popular. Then your smartphone can get quite warm, which is why this one gadget made. Razer has released a Cooler Chroma that promises to keep your device cool. There’s a clip-on version for Android phones and older iPhones, but the star of the show is the MagSafe model — you won’t completely tarnish the design of your iPhone 12 or 13.
Cool down your iPhone
The gadget is available now. And since this is a Razer device, you can expect the seemingly obligatory RGB lighting (controlled via Bluetooth), as well as a powerful seven-blade fan that stays quiet at around 30 dB. The disadvantage is that you have to be near a socket. This is because you have to plug in a USB-C charger whether you use MagSafe or not.
The question is, of course, whether this is a gadget that is really needed. Modern telephones heat up and can degrade performance under sustained heavy loads. But then you have to use the device very intensively. It is not clear how much cooler your phone will become with this device. There is also the simple matter of necessity. Do you really want a fan with a wire? Or would it not be better to buy a gaming phone.
