Due to the new confinement and the deterioration of the health situation linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, the national protocol to ensure the health and safety of employees in companies was updated on October 29, 2020 by the Ministry of Labor. Here are the main developments.
100% teleworking for employees who can
As Emmanuel Macron already announced during his speech last week, telework is mandatory for all activities that allow it and for the duration of the new confinement. This is the main evolution of the national protocol to ensure the health and safety of employees in the company. Thus, for all workers who can, teleworking is imposed 100% of working time, ie five days a week.
In other cases
On the Service-Public.fr site, we can read: “ teleworking 5 days a week is now the rule for all activities that allow it. For agents whose activities cannot be carried out entirely remotely, the organization of the service must make it possible to reduce their time of presence as much as possible. “.
Thus, for employees whose tasks cannot be performed remotely, the employer must organize themselves to limit the risk of crowds, intersection and concentration of employees and customers and ensure that social distancing (at least one meter between each person) can be respected. To do this, it can provide for a smoothing of the arrival and departure times of employees or even adjust the time of presence in the company.
The employer is also responsible for setting up procedures for the regular disinfection of all objects and contact points of tools and the workplace.
Meetings must be conducted by audio or videoconference
The national protocol for ensuring the health and safety of employees in a company indicates that all audio or videoconference meetings must be the rule. In the same way and for obvious reasons of employee protection, all the moments of conviviality bringing together face-to-face employees within the professional framework are suspended until further notice.
Inform employees and maintain links
The national protocol requires employers to inform employees of the TousAntiCovid application in order to facilitate the follow-up of contact cases. Finally, the protocol requires employers to ” set the applicable rules within the framework of social dialogue, ensuring that links are maintained within the work group and the prevention of risks related to the isolation of employees working from home “.
