On October 26 you will see the complete Z06
You could already see him doing the necessary test laps on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a hip tracksuit, but the unveiling will just take place in America. On October 26 of this year, Chevrolet pulls the curtain on the sportier Corvette Z06. The new Z06 swaps the standard 6.2-liter V8 for a 5.5-liter V8 with a flat crankshaft. This gives it a distinctive sound, which not everyone is a fan of. The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series has the same crankshaft and also sounds a bit dull compared to the ‘lesser’ versions.
Details about the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 are scarce. In addition to the normal Z06, there was also a copy with an even more aggressive rear spoiler that drove over the Ring. This is probably a Corvette with the Z07 package, aimed at the better track work. The power is not yet known, but certainly assume at least 600 hp. The rev limiter would only do its job at 8,250 rpm. All specifications will be confirmed in October.
And then another Chevrolet Corvette ZR1…
There would be an even stronger version later, when we get to the voices in the corridors listen. The ZR1 is rumored to produce 800 horsepower. The ultimate sprint cannon would be a hybrid version with 1,000 horsepower. This hybrid Corvette would be called the eRay or Zora, but little is known about it yet. It is not yet known what the Z06, Z07 or all other versions should cost in America. As far as we know, there are no concrete plans to officially deliver the car in the Netherlands.
