Charlotte Valandrey has died aged 53. She had received two heart transplants and was suffering from HIV.

This last transplant unfortunately failed. Hospitalized last June to “replace her second-hand heart”, according to comments relayed by the press release written by his relatives, the actress, whose real name is Anne-Charlotte Pascal, left, surrounded by her family, reports Closer.
Last Stand
“After a last fight of a month, where the hours lasted centuries, where to express herself, Charlotte blinked her eyes and wrote a few words on a slate (…) She fell asleep with a smile, by shaking hands with his father Jean-Pierre, his daughter Tara and his sister, Aude” can we read in the press release.
The actress had to be plunged into an artificial coma to escape pain and complications.

For Charlotte Valandrey, this operation was all the more delicate as she is on medication because of her HIV infection discovered at the age of 18 and it was her second transplant: she had already been transplanted at the age 34 years old in 2003 after two heart attacks caused by his treatment against HIV (AZT, the first drug used to treat HIV infection) and a heart rate reduced to 10%.
“My trials have taught me to be afraid of death. Or more exactly, to be afraid that life will end. She took on such a flavor for me! The beautiful things, I want to experience them right away…” she confided to the‘Express in 2011.
Severe heart failure
The reason that leads to a heart transplant is severe heart failure.
