With two extra turbos on it
Does an RS 4 Avant not meet your needs for space, but a Transporter does not meet your need for speed? Then you have to craft something yourself. Or you buy this bloody fast bus. The builder Not Just Campers calls his creation the Transporter RST5. Where once there was probably a diesel block, now lies the 4.2-liter V8 from an Audi RS 4 B7 from a while ago.
Since anything under 500 horsepower is apparently too cowardly, two Garrett turbos blow extra air into the eight-cylinder. The new power is 745 hp and the torque increases to 820 Nm. You can do the switching yourself. Naturally, the driveshafts and braking have been modified to better handle the power. Some things have also been reinforced.
Four-wheel drive, but a burnout is possible
Power goes to all wheels, but as can be seen in the video below, the front wheels can be disconnected from the drivetrain for a nice burnout. The standard dampers made way for air bellows so that the height can be adjusted. The interior received a thorough makeover, as did the bumpers.
The asking price of the Transporter RST5 has been converted just under 60,000 euros. Then you still have to bring him here from England. Unfortunately, that also means that the steering wheel is on the right, although that’s nothing a big grab stick for the McDrive can’t solve. Plus: you can cut the Hugenholtz extra high without hitting the wall.
