Bronchiolitis: what are the symptoms?
The first symptoms of bronchiolitis have nothing specific and are generally those of a common cold or nasopharyngitis. But when your baby has an unusual cough, or even difficulty breathing (wheezing) that bothers him and worries you, you should have him examined.
Bronchiolitis: in which cases to hospitalize?
On the other hand, hospitalization will be necessary in the event of bronchiolitis if:
– your baby is an elder premature
– your baby is less than 3 months old
– the difficulty breathing is important: it is manifested by the acceleration of his respiratory rate, the unusual noise of his breathing and the difficulty in eating.
– his complexion changes: he is pale or even cyanotic (bluish coloring of his skin).
