BMW is increasing some of its prices starting April 1, 2022. The X3 is one of the affected models and will charge you an extra €1,100 to €2,000. Only the basic finish of the iX3 electric version escapes inflation. The entry ticket for the German SUV now stands at €51,750.
Inflation in the prices of new vehicles has spread to the point of reaching German manufacturers. BMW has thus increased the prices of many models (Series 2, Series 4, X5, etc.) since 1er April 2022. The operation is simple on the X3: all its prices increase by €1,100apart from the 510 hp M Competition version which climbs by €2,000.
An identical range
Unlike the Series 1, the changes in the X3 range simply boil down to it. Apart from the price increase mentioned above, there is almost nothing to report. Prices now range from €51,750 for the xDrive20i X Line up to €111,700 for the X3 M Competition. The only equipment modification concerns the head-up display, which is unavailable (except M versions) because of the current crises. Note that the X4, coupe version of the family SUV, undergoes this same price increase for all its versions.
The weight penalty, which appeared at the start of the year, is an important factor to take into account. An additional €850 to €2,800 will be payable when purchasing an X3, even if it is a plug-in hybrid (because less than 50 km of electric range in town). Only the M Competition variant escapes this because it reaches the ceiling of €40,000 for the ecological penalty. A tax based on CO2 which is otherwise between 740 € on the xDrive20i version and €27,166 on the X3 M40i.
Stable price for the basic iX3
With 286 hp and 400 Nm, the 100% electric iX3 variant retains a separate range, with two finishes called Inspiring and Impressive. Another specificity: the first of these two levels of equipment is the only one not to see its prices increase. It therefore always starts at €69,950, as has been the case since the restyling of this version. On the other hand, the price of the iX3 Impressive climbs by €1,700 to reach €78,050. In either case, the addition remains too high to hope for an ecological bonus. But the electric motorization allows at least to escape any penalty, on the weight as on the CO2.
BMW X3 price (April 2022)
The BMW X3 got a facelift last summer. Since the marketing of this restyled version, the prices of the thermal and hybrid versions have thus increased by €2,100, and even by €2,350 for the M Competition version. Only the iX3 received preferential treatment, with a single increase of €1,700 for its high-end Impressive.
