BMW will exhibit at the Munich Motor Show the i Vision Circular concept which, as its name suggests, will evoke a circular economy based on the massive use of recycled materials. This 100% electric and 100% recyclable study foreshadows models based on the future Neue Klasse platform.
On the occasion of the Munich Motor Show (September 7 to 12), BMW announces the presentation of a concept car. However, do not expect an electric sports study like the Vision M Next offered in Frankfurt in 2019. For this year, the Bavarian manufacturer intends to be “greener” than ever with an urban proposal based on recycling.

Nothing is lost…
Called i Vision Circular, this concept will clearly not affect dynamism and handling. Evidenced by the teaser image proposed by BMW in which appears a shadow of what appears to be a minivan. This shadow comes, not really from a vehicle, but from very diverse objects including a pillow. Through this visual, BMW wants to demonstrate that it is possible to increase the proportion of recyclable materials in cars. Thereby, this urban concept is made from 100% second life materials, and above all, it is 100% recyclable.
A taste of the Neue Klasse
The German group is however well aware that from concept to reality, there is a chasm. If the share of recycled materials in current vehicles is 30%, BMW intends to increase this rate to 50%. This reuse of components associated with the growth of electric vehicles (the BMW group plans to market 10 million within 10 years), should make it possible tolower CO emissions2 vehicles in use by 50% by 2030, and achieve a 40% reduction over the entire life cycle of cars.
Behind this concept is also the strategy put in place for the new platform, called Neue Klasse, the first models of which are scheduled for 2025.
