For 2022, the Audi Q4 e-tron and e-tron Sportback get a software update. Recharging becomes faster thanks to better thermal management of the battery, which goes from 5 to 80% in less than 30 minutes. In addition, the electric SUVs integrate Amazon’s Alexa services.
Like its Czech cousin, the Skoda Enyaq iV, the Audi Q4 e-tron will receive a software update in 2022. The most noticeable improvement is the cooldown, which has been shortened. In addition to a software update, the electric SUV now comes automatically with the Style Noir Plus aesthetic pack, which darkens the grille outline, the front and rear bumpers, as well as the window surrounds. These developments are also available on the Sportback coupé variant.
Charging up to 135 kW
In addition, charging planning has been improved. Routes saved in the free myAudi smartphone app can now be transferred to the in-car navigation system. The planner automatically suggests the stops to be made in real time according to traffic and consumption.
Amazon Alexa built-in
With this software update, the Audi Q4 e-tron gains a personal assistant. This is Alexa, a service provided by the e-commerce giant Amazon. Integrated into the Audi Connect service of the electric SUV, Alexa makes it possible to manage a number of tasks and control connected devices by voice command. In parallel with this addition, a new 11.6-inch touch screen is appearing in the options catalog. This is the largest screen offered on a model of the brand.
