Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War are currently dominated by the Numbers Event. Veterans of the franchise will quickly recognize the theme, as numbers took center stage in the legendary first call of Duty Black Ops game. The effect is not as bombastic as in 2010 and spies, codes and brainwashed prisoners of war are also not present. But that old Black Ops energy does!
Warzone Numbers Event
The concerned Warzone in game event is now live and invites players to go to 9 different spots in Verdansk. There, a sequence familiar from the original Black Ops activates where a Reznov relays numbers to you. This hypnotic experience probably hints at a future event within the Warzone story.
For now, after you get the numbers, you’ll just get in-game rewards. Think of some money, charms or a new calling card. Activision is clearly trying to tempt the old guard with the Black Ops vibe. It’s also nice for not so nostalgic gamers to have some new in-game challenges.
The ultimate reward of this Warzone event is akimbo sai melee weapons. When a player has visited all 9 locations, he receives the weapons as a gift. The same goes for players in Black Ops Cold War; the event covers both games and you can choose which one you prefer. For enthusiasts, the zombies are also temporarily back in Warzone.
The Numbers Event Black Ops Cold War runs until October 6 (06:00 AM Dutch time). For Warzone, the event will run one day longer, until October 7 (06:00 AM Dutch time).
