Instead of buying an Apple iPhone with a single amount, you pay in installments by means of a subscription.
Buy on installment. As someone who hates a lot of monthly expenses, you won’t see me doing it. But in the United States, this is the most normal thing in the world. If you do not have the finances to make a purchase in one go, they often choose to make a purchase in the form of a subscription in America.
Despite the fact that Apple is an American company, they do not participate in this. You either buy an iPhone by paying in one go, or you buy the smartphone in combination with a telecom subscription. However, that is about to change.
Bloomberg reports that Apple will sell its hardware such as the iPhone through a subscription. Not only the iPhone, but also, for example, a Mac or an iPad. The purchase amount will be spread over a longer period. Think of 12, 24 or 48 months for example.
It would be a new strategy from Apple to boost sales. With this way of selling, the tech company taps into new customers. Hopefully there isn’t a stranglehold on it that could leave people in trouble buying if they regret it afterwards.
