Amazon is already a huge company, but there is still a market to conquer. Read what they are planning here.
Soon it will be Cyber Monday. In America this is quite an event. On this day you can buy all kinds of offers that have to do with ‘cyber’, a kind of Black Friday, so only for electronics. Companies in the Netherlands are also increasingly stunting with offers on this day. Especially if you are in the market for a TV, you can certainly find one for a nice price. Amazon will participate in this.
Amazon and the electronics market
According to Insider, the e-commerce giant plans to launch its own TVs in the Americas as early as October, just in time for the Christmas shopping season. You can already have it inside. The project has reportedly been under development for nearly two years by teams from Amazon Devices and Lab126, the R&D department responsible for designing the company’s products, including the Kindle and Echo speakers.
Insider says the models expected to launch in October are designed and manufactured by third parties such as TCL. Amazon’s in-house team is apparently working on a separate TV, though it’s unclear whether it will be released in the coming months. As for the third-party TVs, the rumors are that they will be powered by Alexa, as you would expect from Amazon-branded hardware. However, the publication did not say whether they will also use the company’s Fire TV software.
TVs
Sure, Amazon already sells such devices. But these still carry the brands of their manufacturers. However, the new TVs will have Amazon branding. Even if they are made by outside companies. So comparable to the AmazonBasics TVs that the e-commerce giant sells in India. The upcoming Amazon TVs will reportedly be 55 to 75 inches. The price is unknown, but they will probably stunt to quickly conquer a market share.
