This project developed jointly with the General Council of Val d’Oise (95) was selected by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health as part of the experiments of MAIA (House for the Autonomy and Integration of Alzheimer’s patients ) of the Alzheimer’s Plan 2008 – 2012. It is based on an experience already carried out in the Netherlands. It consists in integrating as closely as possible patients and their loved ones (families, carers, etc.) and all the professionals called upon to intervene (doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and psychologists, but also hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, social workers and local authorities).
This integration should allow:
Better patient follow-up at all stages of this degenerative disease
Better coordination of stakeholders for greater efficiency
Improved living conditions for patients
Greater support from family, caregivers and loved ones
