” This is two points more than in 2010, after a period of stability between 2005 and 2010 “, note it BEH in its report. The most worrying is the progression of this disease which affects more and more, again according to the BEH study, students, women (13%) and low-income people.
Symptoms that never deceive
Be careful, when we talk about depression, we are far from the simple episode of quite normal temporary depression. Depression is characterized by periods lasting at least fifteen days during which the person feels a deep sadness, anxieties, a disinterest in many things, trouble sleeping, morbid thoughts and weight changes.
Fear of losing your job, physical or verbal threats, divorce … are all potential factors for the onset of depression. The latter is also responsible for nearly 45% of work stoppages. In all, 1.3 million patients were taken care of in an authorized psychiatric establishment, i.e. 3.5% more than in 2010.
