Find a way to remove the barriers to screening
Despite the various means of screening that exist today (among which a test to do at home), a third of HIV-positive people do not discover that they are carriers of HIVonly at an advanced stage of the disease. “These new data are a reminder of the importance of lifting the brakes screening. The aim is to reduce the number of people who are unaware of their infection and to enable HIV-positive people to access antiretroviral treatment, for both individual and collective benefit” emphasizes Public Health France, which adds: “It is all of these measures that will ultimately reduce the number of new infections by HIV, which will then be followed by a decrease in the number of discoveries of seropositivity”.
