23% of the French say they have lost their health book. This is what reveals a survey conducted by the site Mon Docteur in 2016. To remedy this problem, Riyad Bouak, a young French entrepreneur, had an idea: to create connected jewelry containing information relating to the health of those who wear them. This is how the Vital eCode company was born.
Facilitate the care
These rubber bracelets and pendants are provided with a QR code, an identification number and the telephone number of an emergency line. To use it, its users must complete a form containing information on their state of health. The goal ? Allow the emergency services to have access to this information if the bearer is not in a position to communicate it to them, in order to facilitate care. “I started to think about it as a teenager when I was on long bike rides. I had several accidents where, luckily, I was able to respond to the emergency services. But what would have happened if I did not. could not answer? “, confides Riyad Bouak to the Parisian. All data collected is anonymous and encrypted and stored on a server approved by the Ministry of Health.
To create these jewels, the entrepreneur met several firefighters and Samu officials from Île-de-France. Doctor Georges-Antoine Capitani, head of service at Samu 91, is one of them: “It seems good to me but the information will have to be updated by the users”, he explains to the subjects of these jewels, sold at a price of € 19.90 on the website of the society.
