This new “M-plan” (mushroom plan) has totally won over American TV star Kelly Osbourne and singer Katy Perry.
Its principle? Replace one of the meals, lunch or dinner with a menu exclusively composed of mushrooms for 14 days.
According to the fans of this diet, this new method of slimming would target certain problem areas such as the hips, thighs and arms without causing a decrease in the size of the breast!
Nutritionists agree to warn people attracted to this new diet. “It is simply a low calorie dietNew York dietitian Tanya Zuckerbrot told ABC News. She recalls that: “You will lose weight, yes, but there is no food that can slim down a particular area of the body. Mushroom or steak, the laws of thermodynamics prevail. By consuming fewer calories, we will lose weight, but the breasts will not be spared.“
This new slimming tendency is in fact a low calorie diet, quite restrictive, and unbalanced. It will allow you to lose weight in the short term but will not teach you how to balance your diet and find your balance weight.
Very low in calories, the mushroom weighs only 25 calories per 100 grams and provides 2 grams of fiber. It is extremely satiating and provides several minerals and vitamins, including copper, selenium, potassium, vitamins B2 and B3, pantothenic acid and vitamin D. Certain active ingredients it contains are said to be beneficial for intestinal health. Mushroom is a food rich in vegetable protein, so it is excellent for muscle mass and for maintaining a healthy weight. But the mushroom is not a complete food. To lose weight permanently, it is preferable to follow a balanced and complete diet which does not bring frustration and therefore does not create eating disorders.
