A Peugeot 306 with an unusual look, transformed for the needs of the film “L’Écume des jours” in which it appears, will be offered for auction on September 19. It is the fruit of the crossed imaginations of Boris Vian, Michel Gondry and Peugeot.
The foam of days, it is obviously Boris Vian’s novel published in 1947. But it is also two film adaptations of this literary work, one by Charles Belmont dating from 1968, the other directed by Michel Gondry and released in 2013. In this last, we can see a multitude of vehicles whose fanciful design must reflect the imagination of the original author. The film crew had called on Peugeot to design some cars for the feature film, and among these is an unrecognizable 306 which is about to be put on sale.
