Sport is good for your health … and forOrgasm. Researchers from Indiana University have proven through a study published in the American journal Sexual and Relationship Therapy that women can experience pleasure or even reach orgasm when they exercise. This state that the researchers qualify as “cororgasm” would occur most often by practicing abdominal exercises. 370 women aged 18 to 63 experienced it. 246 women said they felt sexual pleasure through physical exercise and 124 others spoke of orgasm induced by specific sports. It should be noted in passing that this panel of female volunteers was in a couple or married and that 69% of them were heterosexual.
What sports are so stimulating? It seems that the exercise that is most conducive to orgasm and sexual pleasure is the work of the abdominals. It won the support of more than half of the respondents. Then comes the weight lifting (26% of women), the practice of yoga (20%), cycling, running and in last place trekking.
Simple coincidence? Not really. Co-orgasm would be a more than serious phenomenon according to the study: two out of five women say they have experienced it at least ten times. Without the need for masturbate or from fantasize about someone else.
Orgasm while exercising is said to be something more common than you might think, according to researchers who see it as an opportunity for women to improve their sex life.
Dr Victoria Zdrok, a sex therapist interviewed by Men’s health, provides a rough explanation for this form of orgasm: “When a woman exercises, she releases endorphins and dopamine, two hormones that are involved in orgasm. These two substances combined with the tension felt in the muscles can cause some excitement “. Orgasm related to muscles? This is enough to challenge the idea that women have more “cerebral” orgasms.
