Essential care to preserve the good health of the skin, the moisturizing cream for the face is to be used without moderation… on the only condition that it does not contain harmful components for your health. But faced with the quantity of products on the shelves of parapharmacies and supermarkets, how can you be sure of making the right choice?

Limit sunscreens
First, avoid moisturizing face creams. with a sun protection factor (SPF). “It’s a shame because the SPF is often insufficient to protect yourself from the sun but involves applying sunscreens to the skin on a daily basis, which are often problematic”says the magazine, targeting Eucerin cream and its SPF25, which combines no less than five different UV filters.

Too many products in the selection also contain phenoxyethanol, a preservative supposedly toxic for reproduction and development. Since 2012, theANSM tries to limit its exposure to children under three, without success. The reason ? “It is one of the least expensive preservatives, the easiest to use, the most useful in the eyes of manufacturers (it makes it possible to reinforce the effectiveness of other preservatives and thus to use them at a lower concentration), who consider it , moreover, very safe”says the magazine.
Fortunately, although some organic creams contain too many irritating or sensitizing ingredients, they generally remain more virtuous, as well as products intended for children (Mixa Bébé). Rather reassuring for a non-rinsed product, breath 60 Million consumers.
