The Dutch Fairphone has announced the 4. A new smartphone that comes with a 5-year warranty.
The smartphones of the Fairphone brand are not the most advanced technologically. It is mainly about the environment and recycling with this brand. So if you benefit from a cleaner environment and if you want to contribute, you can consider such a Fairphone. You have to do a lot of years with it, otherwise you don’t understand the concept of this phone.
In the EU it is arranged that manufacturers of smartphones, among other things, must provide a two-year legal warranty. However, Fairphone goes a step further and grants a whopping 5 year warranty on the 4. Now let’s talk about the technical aspect of this phone.
The new Fairphone 4 has a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the side of the on/off button. At the back are three cameras on an island with Sony lenses. Unlike the previous editions, Fairphone has now chosen to omit the 3.5mm input. The battery has a capacity of 3905mAh. The option of 30W fast charging is completely modern. Charging with a cable is via USB-C.
Fairphone is releasing two variants of the 4. A 6 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB version. The former will cost 579 euros. The second model costs 649 euros. From October 25, the smartphone available.
