Windows 11 can play CDs more easily

Recently, Microsoft released a new version of Windows 11 for Windows Insiders members of the Dev Channel, which changes a few things.

We have good news for them: Microsoft’s new media player can now handle CDs.

You need version 11.2202.42.0 of the media player for this – for now only as a tester. On the left side of the menu you will find the option to play CDs. Of course you need a CD player for this. In recent years, manufacturers have equipped few laptops and desktop PCs with CD (ROM) players, so there is a chance that you will have to buy an external player (or maybe you already have one).

In addition, it is still possible for this group of users to use the old Windows media player to play audio CDs. However, when you use an operating system that emphasizes design and comfort, it’s also nice to be able to use apps that are designed with those ideas in mind.
