Volkswagen Taigo (2022). Price, range and equipment of the SUV Coupé

Volkswagen opens the Taigo order book.

The Volkswagen Taigo arrives in dealerships. At what price is the small SUV coupe offered in France? The entry ticket is set at 23,380 € with the small 95 hp petrol. A limited launch series called “First Edition” will be available until January at € 31,480.

The Volkswagen family is growing with the Taigo. This is an urban coupe SUV, cousin of the Nivus (only sold in Brazil). In France, the newcomer is positioned in the range between the T-Cross (with which he shares his underwear) and the T-Roc, although it is 3.2 cm longer than the latter. He will join the concessions in the course of 2022.

In the meantime, the time has come to make your choice since Volkswagen opens the order book in October. Opening bid: € 23,380 or € 259 / month. The first deliveries are scheduled for 1^er quarter 2022.

Gasoline under the hood

In terms of engines, the Taigo does not leave the choice of energy. It only carbides unleaded. Its 1.0 TSI is available in three power levels: 95, 110 and 150 hp. The entry-level engine receives only a 5-speed manual transmission. Only the two most powerful blocks can benefit from a 7-speed DSG gearbox. They are also the only ones to be sealed with a penalty.

Three finishes …

The range is structured around three finishes, including an entry-level (Life). The other two levels, Style and R-Line, are on an equal footing. One plays more the card of chic and the other of sport. As standard, the coupe SUV receives digital speedometers, manual air conditioning, an armrest and a central airbag, a multifunction steering wheel as well as 16 ” rims (see detail below).

The superior finishes are enriched with Matrix LED headlights, a reversing camera, 10.25 ” digital meters, automatic air conditioning or even hands-free access. The optional Design pack (€ 1,340), only available on Style and R-Line, offers 18 ” rims, a Beats audio system and a panoramic sunroof. In this case, the roof bars are removed. Volkswagen offers 8 exterior colors, 7 of which can be combined with the black roof.
