Marketed since July, the Volkswagen Caddy California sees its prices increase at the end of the year. The recreational vehicle transformed into an all-purpose motorhome is available from € 35,375. It is available in two lengths and with two engines (one petrol and one diesel).
[Mis à jour le 09/12/2021] In the California family, two models already exist in the catalog, but Volkswagen launched a third version last July with the Caddy. The car has all the attributes of the MPV launched in 2020, but it adds the characteristic elements of life in a motorhome.
California: Caddy or Caddy Maxi
This Caddy California is available in two lengths: the small one measures 4.50 m for a wheelbase of 2.75 m, the Maxi version climbs to 4.85 m for a wheelbase of 2.97 m. Each of the two versions has the same engines: a 114 hp petrol and a 122 hp diesel. In both cases, the DSG7 dual-clutch transmission is optional. In contrast, only the TDI offer can also accommodate, still as an option, all-wheel drive.

Only one finish in the catalog
Volkswagen has designed an extremely simple range for the Caddy California: a single finish with similar equipment in the short or long version. The only notable difference (apart from the size of the MPV), the Caddy California Maxi cannot accommodate the third row of seats. It will also be necessary to draw from the list of options to have automatic air conditioning (more expensive with the TSI engine…) or even the dual 10-inch screen.
