An amusement park dedicated to the consumption of cannabis should be created in the state of South Dakota.
As a child, you loved amusement parks and you still have tears in your eyes when you remember your day at Disneyland. But Mickey’s kingdom may no longer meet your adult expectations. If the nostalgia persists, know that you will now be able to visit a park specifically dedicated to adults, and above all… to cannabis consumption.
It is in the United States that this astonishing concept should see the light of day, by the end of the year, according to Time magazine. Following a decision by the US Department of Justice, a Sioux tribe in the state of South Dakota was granted permission to grow and sell their own marijuana in June, while the rest of the state did not. has not legalized.
Smoke and games
Obviously, the chief of the tribe has the qualities of a businessman since he has just announced his decision to take advantage of this authorization, to create a place of recreation for adults. In this park, cannabis would be in the spotlight.
The site should have a smoking room, bars, a nightclub, arcade games, and a little later, slot machines. More than 30 varieties of cannabis are expected to be produced.
A business that should be lucrative and that aims to attract residents of the state who want to smoke freely, and above all, legally. So far, they had to travel to Montana, the closest state to legalizing cannabis. In the first year, the park could generate $ 24 million in profit.
Entertainment and Native Americans
This is not the first time that the Native American population has benefited from measures to help them break into the entertainment industry. In 1987, for example, the Supreme Court granted them the right to develop casinos on their reserves.
But these measures obviously have their detractors and many voices have been raised to protest against this rejection. Rules have therefore been put in place in response: the tribe that manages the site will have to put in place strict measures to ensure that no one leaves the place with cannabis.
