All your content is on your app, but there is a trick with which you can download and save all your Instagram photos.
Instagram remains incredibly popular. Even though it gets some criticism that it is going to look too much like TikTok, we are on it en masse. We put all our nice holiday snaps, family photos and so on. It’s a shame that this is all on the app. However, we know how to download all your content.
Save your Instagram photos
Remember, Instagram has been around for a long time. The platform was launched in 2010. So there’s a good chance that you’ll be on it for quite a few years. For many people, this means that there are many photos of their own. Instagram was taken over by Facebook years ago. The parent company is Meta and really stores everything you publish. Kind of scary yes, but useful in this case. This ‘lifehack’ is also welcome for people who want to get rid of the platform, but do not want to lose all their content. Because we are not talking about photos here, but about memories that we want to cherish.
So you can download all your stuff in one go. You do this via a PC on a web browser. Of course you have to log in to the Instagram website.
To download
When you are logged in, you go to your profile picture. After clicking on ‘Settings’ you go to ‘Privacy and Security’. There you will find the heading ‘Data download’. With this you can request a download. So you can’t do it right.
But hey, it’s okay to be patient. Then fill in your details such as in which form you would like the file. They also need your email address. After this, Instagram take two weeks to send everything to you. In practice, however, this is arranged within a day. Now don’t forget to store your photos somewhere safe where you won’t lose them.
